🚨 AN URGENT UPDATE ON MARYAM’S FAMILY
We have just been informed that the conditions they are enduring have become increasingly difficult. Maryam’s family are struggling to access water.
Water may only come once every two days, and sometimes they are unable to fill their containers at all because of problems with the pumps and the limited operation of water stations.
Maryam’s family are spending hours waiting for water and food. After all that waiting, they can still return to their tent without water or food.
Getting food has become increasingly difficult for Maryam’s family too. Food was previously easier to obtain and cheaper to buy. Now it isn't consistently available, and when they can find it, prices have risen significantly.
The camp where Maryam’s family are living is also receiving less regular aid than before. As a result, Maryam’s family increasingly have to find and pay for their basic necessities themselves, despite extremely high prices.
And now there is another frightening reality.
A place close to them was recently targeted and people were injured. Maryam’s family are safe, but this is what is happening around them while they are simply trying to survive and provide for their basic needs.
Please imagine Maryam’s family waiting for more than an hour just hoping to obtain water or food, only to face the possibility of walking back to their tent empty-handed.
They should not have to endure this alone.
