Maryam has developed a painful skin condition, and there is concern it may be scabies, which can spread quickly without treatment.
Her family urgently needs support to get her properly assessed, treated, and protected. They are trying to find a suitable doctor and a reliable medical point where they can obtain the right medication, but this means more costs for transport, fuel, consultations, treatment, and basic hygiene supplies.
They also urgently need new mattresses, blankets, and clothes to reduce the risk of the infection spreading to the rest of the family and to other displaced families around them.

“ Thank you sincerely to everyone who continues to stand beside my daughter Maryam and our family during this extremely difficult time.
I understand why some people may feel confused by the updates or changes in our situation, and I want to explain honestly what life is like for us right now.
The reality in Gaza is that nothing is stable. Everything changes very quickly. One week we may receive information that gives us hope that movement or evacuation could happen soon, and the next week the situation changes again because of border conditions, security developments, health problems, transport issues, or delays in approvals and coordination.
Maryam’s evacuation case is still being processed, but these procedures are not simple or predictable and we have continued to suffer. We cannot control timelines, and we are forced to adapt constantly to changing circumstances while continuing to survive inside Gaza.
Because of this, our needs also change very quickly without warning.
Maryam is immunocompromised and her condition is fragile. Some periods are focused on processing paperwork and preparing movement, while other periods become medical emergencies where her health suddenly worsens again. Then there are stales and delays out of our control. We are trying every day to balance survival, medical care, survival, living on basic needs, and hope for evacuation all at the same time.
At the same time, I am also trying to support the rest of my family, my wife, my two young twin boys, and my 14-year-old son, my mother who is also sick. Like many families in Gaza, we currently have no stable source of income. Every day is about trying to secure food, water, transport, medicine, and basic necessities while living through constant uncertainty.
The transport fund was never only for one journey. Transportation inside Gaza itself has become a major struggle. Fuel is extremely scarce and expensive. Vehicles are limited and difficult to secure safely. Even small movements between locations, obtaining supplies, reaching medical support, or preparing for sudden evacuation instructions can become very costly and urgent.
These costs are not luxuries. They are part of daily survival.
You may have seen headlines about soaring prices in Gaza without a clear sense of why, why a bag of flour can cost what a week's groceries might cost elsewhere. The answer is in how Gaza’s economy actually works right now.
Gaza imports nearly everything, including food, fuel, medicine, and basic necessities. Almost all goods enter through a very small number of crossings. When those crossings close or become restricted, markets inside Gaza feel it almost immediately.
Every closure creates shortages, panic buying, and rapid price increases. This is what we face everyday.
At different periods, flour prices have risen thousands of percent above normal levels. Fuel prices fluctuate constantly. Cooking gas, vegetables, medicine, transport, and even basic hygiene products can suddenly become unaffordable within days. Something very simple elsewhere can become almost impossible to access here. At one time one small grocery shopping of basic vegetables and tuna cost me around $200.
There is also a hidden financial crisis that many people outside Gaza do not see.
Cash itself has become scarce. Families often lose a large percentage of transferred aid money simply trying to convert it into usable cash. When you donate to my family, 40% of it goes to the merchant on the ground who wants to make a profit from it for me to get cash. Transport costs rise because fuel is scarce. Food prices rise because transport is expensive. Everything affects everything else.
This is why needs can change so quickly from week to week.
As of now, the situation remains extremely fragile. Some aid and commercial movement has resumed at times, but conditions can reverse suddenly with little warning. Yesterday an announcement came out that UNPD and other major international sources are retreating water trucks feeding our people. We are devastated. Families like ours are living in constant uncertainty while trying to survive day by day.
In addition, our family has faced many unexpected difficulties online while trying to ask for help. Maryam’s Instagram account was hacked, some fundraising campaigns have been blocked or interrupted, and communication channels can disappear without warning. For this reason, supporters may sometimes see different platforms being used. This is simply to ensure that support for Maryam is never completely cut off if one method suddenly fails.

أنا متفهم ليش بعض الناس ممكن يحتاروا أو ينصدموا من التغييرات والتحديثات اللي بتصير معنا وعشان هيك حبيت أوضح بصراحة كيف شكل الحياة عنا حالياً
الحقيقة في غزة إنه ما في أي شيء ثابت كل شيء بيتغير بسرعة كبيرة أسبوع ممكن يوصلنا كلام أو تنسيق يعطينا أمل إنه الحركة أو الإخلاء صار قريب والأسبوع اللي بعده كل الوضع يتغير بسبب المعابر أو التطورات الأمنية أو الوضع الصحي أو مشاكل المواصلات أو التأخير بالموافقات والتنسيق
ملف إخلاء مريم لسا تحت الإجراءات لكن هالإجراءات مش سهلة ولا واضحة وإحنا مستمرين بالمعاناة كل يوم ما عنا أي قدرة نتحكم بالمواعيد أو القرارات ومجبرين كل يوم نتأقلم مع ظروف بتتغير باستمرار وإحنا أصلاً بنحاول نعيش وننجو داخل غزة
وعشان هيك احتياجاتنا نفسها بتتغير بسرعة وبدون أي إنذار
مريم عندها ضعف شديد بالمناعة ووضعها الصحي حساس جداً مرات بنكون مركزين على الأوراق والتنسيق والاستعداد للحركة ومرات ثانية فجأة يصير الوضع حالة طبية طارئة وتتعب بشكل كبير من جديد وفوق هاد كله في تعطيلات وتأخيرات خارجة عن إرادتنا إحنا كل يوم بنحاول نوازن بين النجاة والعلاج وتأمين أساسيات الحياة والأكل والشرب والأمل بالإخلاء بنفس الوقت
وبنفس الوقت أنا كمان بحاول أوفر لباقي عيلتي زوجتي وطفليّ التوأم الصغار وابني اللي عمره 14 سنة وأمي المريضة كمان زي كثير من العائلات في غزة ما عنا حالياً أي مصدر دخل ثابت كل يوم عبارة عن محاولة لتأمين الأكل والمياه والمواصلات والدواء وأبسط الاحتياجات الأساسية وسط حالة عدم يقين مستمرة
صندوق المواصلات عمره ما كان فقط لرحلة واحدة التنقل داخل غزة نفسه صار معاناة كبيرة الوقود نادر جداً وغالي بشكل مرعب السيارات قليلة وصعب تأمين وسيلة نقل آمنة حتى التنقل البسيط بين المناطق أو شراء الاحتياجات أو الوصول لعلاج أو الاستعداد لأي فرصة إخلاء مفاجئة صار مكلف وعاجل جداً
هاي مش مصاريف رفاهية هاي جزء من البقاء اليومي على قيد الحياة
يمكن شفتوا الأخبار عن ارتفاع الأسعار الجنوني في غزة بدون ما يكون واضح السبب الحقيقي كيف ممكن كيس طحين يصير بسعر مصروف أسبوع كامل بمكان ثاني الجواب هو بطريقة عمل اقتصاد غزة حالياً
غزة بتستورد تقريباً كل شيء الأكل والوقود والدواء وكل الاحتياجات الأساسية وكل البضائع تقريباً بتدخل من عدد قليل جداً من المعابر ولما هاي المعابر تسكر أو يصير عليها تضييق الأسواق داخل غزة بتتأثر فوراً
كل إغلاق بيسبب نقص بالبضائع وشراء بخوف وارتفاع سريع جداً بالأسعار وهذا اللي إحنا بنعيشه كل يوم
بفترات معينة ارتفعت أسعار الطحين آلاف بالمية فوق سعره الطبيعي أسعار الوقود بتتغير باستمرار غاز الطبخ والخضار والدواء والمواصلات وحتى مواد النظافة الأساسية ممكن خلال أيام تصير فوق قدرة الناس بالكامل أشياء بسيطة بأي مكان ثاني صارت شبه مستحيلة هون مرة من المرات مشوار خضرة وتونة وأشياء أساسية جداً كلّفني تقريباً 200 دولار
وفي كمان أزمة مالية مخفية كثير ناس برا غزة ما بشوفوها
حتى الكاش نفسه صار نادر كثير عائلات بتخسر نسبة كبيرة من أي مساعدات مالية فقط عشان تقدر تحولها لكاش تستخدمه لما حد يتبرع لعيلتي تقريباً 40% من المبلغ بيروح للتاجر أو الوسيط اللي على الأرض عشان أقدر أستلم المال كاش تكلفة النقل بترتفع لأن الوقود نادر وأسعار الأكل بترتفع لأن النقل غالي وكل شيء صار يأثر على كل شيء
وعشان هيك احتياجاتنا ممكن تتغير بسرعة من أسبوع لأسبوع
حتى الآن الوضع هش جداً أحياناً ترجع تدخل مساعدات أو حركة تجارية بشكل جزئي لكن كل شيء ممكن ينقلب فجأة وبدون أي تحذير أمس طلع إعلان إنه UNDP ومصادر دولية كبيرة ثانية بدأت تتراجع عن شاحنات المياه اللي كانت تغذي الناس عندنا إحنا منهارين من هالخبر عائلات زينا عايشة كل يوم بحالة عدم استقرار وتحاول فقط تنجو ليوم جديد
وفوق كل هاد واجهتنا مشاكل كثيرة حتى وإحنا بنحاول نطلب المساعدة حساب مريم على الإنستغرام انحكر وبعض حملات التبرع توقفت أو تعطلت ووسائل التواصل أحياناً بتختفي فجأة بدون سابق إنذار وعشان هيك ممكن تشوفونا نستخدم منصات مختلفة أو طرق مختلفة للدعم الهدف الوحيد من هاد إنه ما ينقطع الدعم عن مريم بالكامل إذا تعطلت وسيلة معينة
وبسبب إنه حساب مريم على الإنستغرام حالياً مش متاح صارت أغلب التحديثات تنزل من خلال حملتها الأصلية وإيميلات الموقع للمؤيدين والمتابعين إذا حابين تتابعوا آخر أخبار مريم ووضع غزة وتطورات وضع عيلتنا بنتمنى منكم تشتركوا بالتحديثات من هنا
