Hi All,

We need to speak honestly about what is happening to Maryam and her family right now.

Donate to Maryam's family here

The situation inside Gaza’s tent encampments is becoming catastrophic.

This is no longer only a crisis of war, it is now a crisis of survival, disease, hunger, and collapsing living conditions.

Families are living among mountains of rubble, untreated waste, contaminated water, and severe overcrowding. Reports from the ground describe rats spreading across nearly every tent encampment, feeding among debris and waste, with children and elderly people being bitten while they sleep. Mattresses, blankets, food supplies, and cooking areas are being contaminated daily.

Maryam’s family is living through this reality.

Food is becoming scarcer and more expensive by the day. Aid access is shrinking. Community kitchens are overwhelmed and unable to meet the scale of need. Many families have no income whatsoever, and even basic essentials like flour, vegetables, clean water, baby supplies, and medicine have become nearly impossible to secure consistently.

The burden on families with children is unbearable.

Maryam’s younger siblings (3 years old) are growing up in conditions no child should ever experience, surrounded by fear, instability, hunger, illness, and exhaustion. Every day is about trying to survive until the next.

At the same time, many people outside Gaza are seeing social media posts suggesting things are “improving” or “returning to normal.” But the reality on the ground is very different. Small pockets of activity do not reflect the truth facing the overwhelming majority of families trapped inside these camps.

There is no normal life here.

There is no safety.

There is no stability.

There is only endurance.

To make matters worse, Maryam’s Instagram account, which was the family’s only direct connection to supporters and their primary source of donations, was suddenly lost. Overnight, they lost access to the community that had been helping them survive.

Since then, donations have fallen drastically while prices inside Gaza continue to rise.

Your support is helping this family secure:

- Food and clean water

- Baby supplies and diapers

- Medicine and hygiene items

- Transportation and emergency movement costs, evacuation needs

- Shelter necessities

- Basic survival needs during ongoing displacement

Every donation, no matter how small, genuinely matters.

Please do not let this family disappear into silence simply because the algorithm moved on.

Maryam, her siblings, and her family are still there. Still waiting. Still trying to survive another day.

Donate to Maryam's family here

If you are able to help, please donate and share their story with others.

Thank you for standing beside them during one of the darkest periods of their lives.

With gratitude
