We wanted to share an important update. As we continue working to secure full evacuation for Maryam and her family, we have reached a critical and immediate stage: physically moving her toward safety.
To address this, we have created a separate, dedicated immediate collection, specifically to cover urgent transport and coordination costs.
This is entirely focused on the immediate, time-sensitive steps required to move Maryam, including:
Fuel for vehicles operating under extremely limited supply
Securing access to safe and reliable transport (drivers, availability, timing)
Movement between locations and toward crossing points
Translation and essential paperwork required during transit
On-route coordination and basic necessities along the journey
To provide context: running a vehicle in Gaza right now is extremely expensive and unpredictable. Fuel is scarce and costly, vehicles are limited, and even short journeys can cost significantly more than usual. In addition, coordinating paperwork and translations, something relatively simple elsewhere, has become disproportionately expensive and difficult under current conditions.
These are not optional costs. They are the practical barriers standing between Maryam and safety.
We are ensuring that these urgent logistical needs are met quickly and transparently, without delaying the broader evacuation process. We need to cover this by the end of the week to secure coordination needs. This could be her final way out.
