As a parent advocating on behalf of my kids, future kids, and our community, I urge the VIC State government to proceed with the acquisition of the Armstrong Creek West (Mount Duneed) Secondary School site. Local anecdotal evidence and community discussions highlight an urgent need for this secondary school to support our rapidly growing population in Mount Duneed. 

Research shows that the Armstrong Creek West Precinct Structure Plan (PSP) will have a substantially higher population that originally forecast, based on developers assumptions. The area is tipped to have a population of 23,500 people, which is 8500 more than originally forecast. 

The Government Secondary enrolment threshold of 125 year 7 enrolments will be satisfied by the Mount Duneed locality, based on the view of opening in 2026.

The site is situated in an appropriate location, being 3.2km of all dwellings in the locality.
