Urge VanZandt County Commissioner to Repair County Road 3824
The Issue

As residents in a quaint corner of VanZandt County, gracing the humble yet embattled Co. Road 3824, our lives are being derailed daily by extensive damage to the road. The potholes are growing in number, making no journey trivial, damaging our vehicles and compromising our safety. With over 80 families making their lives on this street, we all share the hardship and the growing concern for the well-being of our community.
We unite as taxpayers, impoverished not by means but by circumstance, burdened unexpectedly by a road that is more an obstacle than a pathway. For years we have watched helplessly as old solutions fumbled with new problems. The efforts by the previous county commissioner to dress the wounds of our streets with gravel have proven futile. Rainy weather would inevitably relapse the condition of the roads back to a state of disrepair, trapping us in a monotonous cycle of damage and mild repair.
It's time we sought a lasting solution to our road problem. We believe the installation of concrete serves as a promising alternative, a steady foundation that's impermeable to the vagaries of weather. This is our plea to the VanZandt County Commissioner: Acknowledge our plight, take concrete action — quite literally.
We call on all inhabitants of the road to join our cause. As this issue deeply impacts us, let us raise our voices collectively calling for a safer, smoother Co. 3824. We have not just the right, but the responsibility to live in a healthier environment, and to ensure that for our future generations. Sign our petition and demand immediate intervention for our road.
