I am one of the many applicants who submitted their applications for Permanent Residency in Canada in September/October 2023. It has been over six months, and our applications are yet to be finalized by the Vancouver Visa Office. This delay is causing significant disruptions in our lives.

My personal story is a testament to this struggle. My reunion with my sister during Easter failed due to this delay, causing emotional distress. My children missed their last term and cannot be enrolled for the next term as they did not take examinations last term due to uncertainty about our status.

This situation is not unique to me alone; several other applicants are facing similar challenges. The standard timeline of 6 months for processing these applications has been exceeded, leaving us unable to plan or structure our yearly expectations.

We understand that immigration processes can be complex and time-consuming, but we appeal for transparency and efficiency from the Vancouver Visa Office under the supervision of Canada's Immigration Minister, Marc Miller.
