Sudan is currently in the throes of geopolitical instability and continuous unrest. With the prolonged war and systemic issues undermining national processes, Sudanese nationals around the globe are calling for urgent intervention. This petition advocates for the United Nations organizations to assume temporary administrative control of Sudan to enact necessary peacekeeping measures, restore order, and lay the groundwork for renewed and effective governance systems. Human Rights Watch reports that Sudan's ongoing crisis has forced over 2.5 million people from their homes and left nearly 7 million reliant on humanitarian aid. (source: Human Rights Watch, 2020). The intervention of the United Nations could provide an essential framework for reestablishing peace, promoting democratic rules, and facilitating an eventual, sustainable takeover by Sudanese nationals.
