Urge the UK to intervene to evacuate NHS doctor's father from Gaza for life-saving surgery

The Issue

Update: Khaled Balousha passed away due to delay in treatment and multiple complications. We thank everyone who signed this petition and tried to help us. RIP

Khaled Balousha, a resident of Gaza, has suffered a severe brain injury that has led to an infection and increased pressure on his brain. This urgent medical situation requires immediate evacuation out of Gaza for life-saving surgery. Khaled is a Palestinian businessman who's son is a NHS doctor who tirelessly serves the UK community.

Gaza, due to its ongoing conflict and restrictions on travel, lacks the necessary medical facilities and expertise needed to treat such complex cases. Khaled Balousha is currently in the Jordanian Field Hospital in the South of Gaza Strip and doctors are struggling to keep him alive. His situation is deteriorating and, if no action is taken to help him out for treatment urgently, he will not survive. His family has secured the full cost of his treatment and the only remaining obstacle is crossing Rafah border between Gaza and Egypt which now requires a government-level coordination.

We are calling upon the UK government's intervention in this matter as multiple other governments have intervened to coordinate with the Egyptian Authorities for similar cases. The UK has always been at the forefront when it comes to human rights issues; this case should be no different.

Please sign this petition urging the UK government to help evacuate Khaled Balousha out of Gaza so he can receive his much-needed operation. Your signature could potentially save a life!
