Urge the Indian Government to Protect Pakistani Hindu and Sanatani Refugees

Urge the Indian Government to Protect Pakistani Hindu and Sanatani Refugees
The Issue
To,
The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India
The Hon’ble Home Minister of India
The Hon’ble External Affairs Minister of India
Government of India, New Delhi
Subject: A Humble Yet Urgent Appeal to Protect Pakistani Hindu and Sikh Seeking Refuge in Bharat
Respected Pradhan Mantri ji, Griha Mantri ji, and Videsh Mantri ji,
In this time of national mourning following the horrific terrorist attack by Islamic extremists on innocent civilians, we stand united with the leadership of Bharat in grief and resilience. The resolve with which you guide our nation inspires hope even in the darkest moments.
However, amidst this chaos, a silent tragedy is unfolding - one that compels us to write to you with a heavy heart and an urgent plea.
We fully understand the need for decisive national security measures, including the closure of borders and the repatriation of Pakistani nationals lacking valid Long-Term Visas (LTVs). But in this necessary pursuit of national interest, we risk extinguishing the last flicker of hope for some of the most persecuted people on our subcontinent - Hindus and Sikhs from Pakistan - who fled to Bharat not just for refuge, but for survival.
These individuals carry a Pakistani identity by accident of birth - but in soul, culture, and dharma, they are ours. Sending them back now would be akin to casting them into a burning furnace - an act of moral betrayal as a nation.
We, on behalf of our organisation which supports thousands of displaced Hindus and Sikhs from Pakistan, humbly and urgently place the following appeals before you:
1. Exemption for Persecuted Sanatani Minorities
The recent border closure should have made a clear exception for Hindu and Sikh refugees who flee Pakistan due to life-threatening religious persecution. For them, returning is not deportation—it is a death sentence. Let Bharat declare that it stands by its cultural and civilisational duty to protect its own, and allow urgent renewal of LTVs for those who wish to stay under Indian refuge.
2. Prioritised Humanitarian Entry for Valid Visa Holders
Hindu, Sikh & Sanatani Minorities in Pakistan who have received valid Indian visas, especially those with a history of persecution, must be allowed safe entry without bureaucratic delays. In times of crisis, we want to ensure that our people are taken care of beyond the red tape.
3. Safe Repatriation of Stranded Visitors
Several Pakistani Hindu citizens - currently stranded after visiting relatives or renewing passports - hold LTV or NORI endorsements with valid Pakistani Passports. They must be allowed re-entry, and we request diplomatic coordination to ensure their return without endangering their lives.
This is not just about policy- it is about humanity. It is about dharma. For over 70 years, every flare-up between India and Pakistan has led to a backlash against Hindus in Pakistan. Most recently, following the Pran Pratishtha of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, mobs attacked temples and homes in Sindh. The message is chillingly clear: All Sanatani people across Pakistan are punished for India’s celebration of growth and cultural enrichment.
And yet, they continue to believe in Bharat. In you.
It is our civilisational duty to stand by them now - not just as a government, but as the soul of a nation. We urge you to release a bold and compassionate public statement reaffirming that Bharat is, and always will be, a refuge and homeland for Sanatani minorities fleeing persecution. We humbly urge you to include the concerns of Hindus & Sanatanis in Pakistan.
Let us show the world that while the terror roars across our borders, Bharat remains the eternal flame that does not forsake her own.
With folded hands and unshakable faith in your leadership.
