As a mom and local real estate agent, I am acutely aware of a significant need in our beloved city of Soddy Daisy. Our community lacks spaces for children to safely enjoy outdoor activities throughout the year. Blue Cross and Blue Shield offers a grant which could provide our neighborhood with a splash pad area. This will not only be a fun destination for kids, but will also serve as a family-friendly gathering spot, enriching our community as a whole. Places that invest in such infrastructures witness a noticeable boost in community spirit and engagement (American Planning Association). Moreover, splash pads are a known element in enhancing local property values and attracting new families (National Recreation and Park Association). In light of these convincing benefits, it's time our city council heard from us, the people of Soddy Daisy.
