We, the undersigned, call on the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Belgium, Fei Shengchao, to advocate for the introduction of animal protection laws to stop the growing Cat Torture Rings.

In China, a criminal network runs Cat Torture Rings, brutally torturing and killing thousands of cats and kittens. These acts are recorded and shared on public websites, Telegram groups, and social media platforms for pleasure and profit. Each day, new and more horrific methods of torture are invented, pushing the limits of cruelty.

The cats endure unimaginable cruelty, including: stabbing, crucifying, blending, chopping, burning, ripping, cutting, paralyzing, electrocuting, beheading, pulping, stealing, blinding, frying, crushing, poking, cooking, drowning ... and more.

The torturers steal cats or adopt them from shelters, but many strays also fall victim. Often, multiple cats are tortured simultaneously, forcing siblings or mothers to witness the suffering of their kin.

This network, involving adults, teenagers, and even children from all walks of life, thrives on the absence of comprehensive animal cruelty laws in China. As a result, these acts often go unpunished, even when the perpetrators are known by name. However, these activities violate several international laws.

This disturbing phenomenon is not only a growing societal issue in China but is also spreading to other countries.

Cat torturers have also targeted animal lovers who try to stop them, kidnapping and torturing their pets, and even demanding ransom. They terrorise sensitive individuals online, leading to countless incidents.

Introducing animal protection laws in China would:

• Prevent the suffering of millions of cats and other animals;
• Protect humans from emotional harm;
• Enhance China’s global reputation as a nation that values and respects all life forms.

Nous, soussignés, appelons l'Ambassadeur Extraordinaire et Plénipotentiaire de la République populaire de Chine auprès du Royaume de Belgique, Fei Shengchao, à plaider pour l'introduction de lois de protection des animaux afin de mettre fin aux cercles de torture de chats croissants.

En Chine, un réseau criminel dirige des cercles de torture de chats, torturant et tuant brutalement des milliers de chats et de chatons. Ces actes sont enregistrés et partagés sur des sites publics, des groupes Telegram et des plateformes de réseaux sociaux à des fins de plaisir et de profit. Chaque jour, de nouvelles méthodes de torture plus horribles sont inventées, poussant les limites de la cruauté.

Les chats subissent une cruauté inimaginable, incluant : poignardage, crucifiement, mixage, découpage, brûlage, déchiquetage, coupure, paralysie, électrocution, décapitation, réduction en pulpe, vol, cécité, friture, écrasement, piquage, cuisson, noyade ... et plus encore.

Les tortionnaires volent des chats ou les adoptent dans des refuges, mais de nombreux chats errants sont également victimes. Souvent, plusieurs chats sont torturés simultanément, forçant les frères et sœurs ou les mères à assister à la souffrance de leurs proches.

Ce réseau, impliquant des adultes, des adolescents, et même des enfants de tous horizons, prospère grâce à l'absence de lois complètes contre la cruauté animale en Chine. En conséquence, ces actes restent souvent impunis, même lorsque les auteurs sont connus de nom. Cependant, ces activités violent plusieurs lois internationales.

Ce phénomène inquiétant n'est pas seulement un problème croissant en Chine, mais il se propage également à d'autres pays.

Les tortionnaires de chats s'en prennent aussi aux amoureux des animaux qui tentent de les arrêter, kidnappant et torturant leurs animaux de compagnie, et exigeant même des rançons. Ils terrorisent les personnes sensibles en ligne, provoquant d'innombrables incidents.

Pourquoi une action est nécessaire

L'introduction de lois de protection des animaux en Chine permettrait de :

• Prévenir la souffrance de millions de chats et d'autres animaux;
• Protéger les humains contre les dommages émotionnels;
• Améliorer la réputation mondiale de la Chine en tant que nation qui valorise et respecte toutes les formes de vie.

In China beheert een crimineel netwerk Kattentortuurringen, waarbij duizenden katten en kittens wreed worden gemarteld en gedood. Deze daden worden opgenomen en gedeeld op openbare websites, Telegram-groepen en sociale mediaplatforms voor vermaak en winst. Elke dag worden nieuwe en nog gruwelijkere martelmethoden uitgevonden, waardoor de grenzen van wreedheid worden overschreden.

De katten ondergaan onvoorstelbare wreedheden, waaronder: steken, kruisigen, mixen, hakken, branden, scheuren, snijden, verlammen, elektrocuteren, onthoofden, vermalen, stelen, blindmaken, frituren, verpletteren, prikken, koken, verdrinken ... en meer.

De martelaars stelen katten of adopteren ze uit asielen, maar veel zwerfkatten worden ook slachtoffer. Vaak worden meerdere katten tegelijkertijd gemarteld, waarbij broers, zussen of moeders gedwongen worden om het lijden van hun familieleden te aanschouwen.

Dit netwerk, bestaande uit volwassenen, tieners en zelfs kinderen uit alle lagen van de bevolking, bloeit dankzij het ontbreken van uitgebreide wetten tegen dierenmishandeling in China. Dientengevolge blijven deze daden vaak ongestraft, zelfs als de daders bij naam bekend zijn. Deze activiteiten schenden echter verschillende internationale wetten.

Dit verontrustende fenomeen is niet alleen een groeiend maatschappelijk probleem in China, maar het verspreidt zich ook naar andere landen.

Kattenmartelaars hebben ook dierenliefhebbers geterroriseerd die proberen hen te stoppen, door hun huisdieren te kidnappen en te martelen, en zelfs losgeld te eisen. Ze terroriseren gevoelige individuen online, wat tot talloze incidenten leidt.

Waarom actie nodig is

De invoering van dierenbeschermingswetten in China zou:

• Het lijden van miljoenen katten en andere dieren kunnen voorkomen;
• Mensen beschermen tegen emotionele schade;
• De internationale reputatie van China versterken als een land dat waarde hecht aan en respect toont voor alle levensvormen.
