Urge the Australian Government to Immediately Halt Funding and Arms Sales to Israel

Urge the Australian Government to Immediately Halt Funding and Arms Sales to Israel
The Issue
For a long time, we have witnessed the horrifying actions carried out by the Israeli government. The images of babies starving, the discovery of mass graves, and the relentless bombing of Palestinian people are etched into our memories. Over 35,000 lives lost—when will this mayhem end?
We are calling on our government to say ENOUGH is ENOUGH! We implore you to consider the human cost of these actions. It's time for Australia to take a stand against these atrocities and war crimes.
The Australian Government must condemn these actions by immediately and permanently halting all funding and arms sales to Israel. We need our leaders not just to call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza but also take concrete steps towards ensuring it.
According to data from Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), Australia is among countries that have exported arms equipment worth millions of dollars annually over recent years. This funding indirectly contributes towards perpetuating violence in Palestine.
In February 2024, Australia exported $1.5 MILLION worth of weapons to Israel (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade). This large sum was used for 'arms and ammunition' to Israel. This funding has led to the mass murder of over 35,000 innocent people and will lead to the slaughter of many more.
It's high time we put humanity before politics or economics. Let us be on the right side of history by supporting peace rather than fueling conflict.
Please sign this petition urging the Australian Government to divest its funding and cease all arms sales with Israel immediately!
