Urge the Australian Government for fair review of my visa application
Kampanya metni
I am currently in Turkey, a position I find myself in because returning to my home country would place me in grave danger due to political persecution. Recently, I submitted an application for the Australian Humanitarian Visa (Subclass 202), which is aimed at individuals like me who face serious threats if forced to return home. Now, my application is under review, but the uncertainty and prolonged waiting period is taking a toll not just on my well-being, but also on my future.
Imagine living each day with the fear of what might happen if you are forced back to a place where your life is at risk due to political reasons. This is not just about seeking a better life abroad, but about surviving. The Subclass 202 visa should be my lifeline—a bridge to safety and a chance to rebuild a future in Australia.
I understand that visa processes can be complex and time-consuming. However, given the urgency of my situation, I am asking the Australian Government to expedite and fairly assess my visa application. Australia has a history of standing up for human rights and protecting those in dire need, and many of its citizens strongly uphold these values.
Human rights organizations, such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, consistently advocate for the protection of individuals under threat of political persecution and identify expedited visa processes as crucial for their safety. According to the Global Protection Cluster, delays in these humanitarian cases can result in psychological distress and physical danger for individuals awaiting a decision in temporary locations.
My plea is simple: assess my application with urgency and fairness, so I, too, can experience the safety and security that Australia offers. Your support can play a crucial role in putting my case on the radar and ensuring my story is heard by the decision-makers who can effect this positive change.
Please sign this petition to urge the Australian Government to prioritize and fairly consider my Humanitarian Visa (Subclass 202) application. Every signature represents a beacon of hope and stands up for the values that Australia embodies—supporting those who need it the most.
