We are holding another public meeting on Tuesday 14/7/26, 7pm - 8:30pm, at Pierremont Hall.

We would love to see you there if you are free.

As yet, the Town Council have not had feedback on the bid they put in for the park depot/old nursery site back in March. We hoped to have heard by now and we are expecting them to get some news any day now, naturally hoping it will be positive, but we remain concerned that TDC may still be trying to sell off this parcel of land, which is only accessible via the park and protected by a statutory trust which we the public are the beneficiaries of, which say it can only be used to benefit the park / 'pleasure grounds'.

Developments in recent weeks have included the Estate Agent who was marketing the site (Clarke and Crittenden) ceasing to be involved and they have directed all questions to TDC.

If like us you remain concerned about this issue it would be great to see you on Tuesday so that we can put our heads together re. continuing to resist this proposed disposal - and we also plan to discuss other ways we can support our park.

Cheryl-lya Broadfoot will give a talk about Friends of Pierremont Park and the Depot site.

James Bonthron, who is a FoPP member and also a Trustee of Friends of Ellington Park, will give a talk on how Ellington Park achieved their Green Flag award - and how Pierremont Park could also potentially work towards achieving one of these awards. We feel that we should be ambitious for our park and that it deserves a big vision!
