My nephew, like many others in our country, lives with a disability. He requires Medicaid to guarantee access to necessary medical care that enables him to live a fulfilling, normal life. Currently, a pressing issue is threatening his, and many others, livelihood: potential cuts to crucial programs such as Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. Therefore, this plea is not just for him - it's for all who rely on these programs. 

In 2019, Medicaid alone provided healthcare services to over 72 million people in the U.S. (Kaiser Family Foundation). Meanwhile, Social Security represents about 33% of elderly Americans' income (Social Security Administration). These aren’t mere numbers; they're our family members, friends, and neighbors. Without these programs, the vulnerable would be left without a lifeline.

Therefore, we ask our senators to reject any proposals suggesting cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, or Social Security. Remember, your decision could upend the lives of millions of Americans.
