My passion for wildlife conservation has led me to create this petition. The Florida panther, a top predator in our ecosystem, is not just an icon of our state's wild heritage but also plays a critical role in maintaining the balance of nature. They help control populations of other native species and hunt nuisance species such as wild hogs.

However, their existence is under severe threat. It's heartbreaking to note that only about 200 Florida panthers are left in the wild today. This drastic reduction in their numbers is due to habitat loss, road kills and disease.

We need urgent action from our leaders to save this magnificent creature from extinction. I am seeking recognition from Senator Marco Rubio so I can personally inform him about this crisis and urge him to take necessary actions.
