He must have forgotten that every day people in Ukraine are dying on the frontlines and from missile strikes.

This absence has also raised concerns about the United States’ commitment to facilitating a resolution to the conflict. While US Special Envoy General Keith Kellogg still planned to meet with Ukrainian presidential chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, the lack of high-level participation means a deprioritization of the peace process at a critical juncture.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has emphasized that Ukraine will only engage in direct talks with Russia following a full ceasefire.

The presence of senior U.S. officials is crucial in supporting Ukraine’s position and ensuring that any agreements respect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

We urge Secretary of State Marco Rubio to immediately reengage directly in the Ukraine-Russia ceasefire negotiations.
