I ask you to join me on an urgent cause that is very personal to many of us. My mother - like many seniors - relies on Social Security benefits to stay afloat, and depends on Medicare for her chronic medical conditions. As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and a constituent of CA-41, I am deeply concerned that my basic human rights, fundamental services, healthcare and civil liberties are at stake. My family and yours - as well as our friends, neighbors, and loved ones who are veterans, teachers, seniors, and parents - need living wages, affordable housing, quality healthcare, essential government services and hard-earned benefits, not price hikes or reckless cuts at the Veterans Affairs Administration, the Department of Education, the Social Security Administration and many others. 

Our representative in Congress, Republican Congressman Ken Calvert (CA-41), needs to hear our voices and answer our questions. This is why we demand that he hold active, in-person Community Town Halls to answer directly to us, his constituents. We want to know why he supports the reckless Trump-Musk DOGE agenda, which puts the interests of billionaires over us, his constituents - the people who Ken Calvert represents in Congress. And we want to know how Ken Calvert is fighting for the people he works for - us, not Elon Musk.

Ken Calvert's Trump-Musk agenda wants to gut benefits like Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security, impose devastating tariffs that raise costs for working families and small businesses, implement thousands of layoffs of federal workers, and slash critical services for veterans, seniors and kids to line the pockets of billionaires. These reckless actions are contrary to the needs and interests of our teachers, veterans, working families, the LGBTQ+ community, and seniors like my mother who depend on Social Security and Medicare.
