As an Iranian-American, who deeply values human life and the principles of justice and humanity, it is with great urgency that I implore President Donald Trump to honor his commitment to putting an end to executions in Iran. 

Iranians around the world have expressed their appreciation for the war on the Islamic Regime in Iran. They value the military sacrifices to help the Iranian people taken hostage by their own government. The Islamic regime has taken advantage of the ceasefire and peace talks and has openly announced expediting and increasing  execution of innocent protestors against these dictators. More than 600 people have been executed in the recent 3 months. 

One of the first promises President Trump made in January of this year was to put an end to these executions; however, this commitment has not been fulfilled, and there is no indication that it is included in the current negotiations with Iran’s regime.

Although Iranians oppose ANY negotiations with the Islamic regime, we urge the President to at least include the demand to “stop the execution and killing of political prisoners by the Islamic regime in Iran” as a condition of any ceasefire agreement.
