As a person who’s is very saddened by the ongoing conflict between Palestine and Israel, I am moved to action by the heart-wrenching stories of innocent civilians, including children and infants, losing their lives. Men and women are being kidnapped, tortured, and killed. This is not just a political issue; it's a human rights crisis.

President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador has proudly recognized his Palestinian roots and has established an embassy in Palestine. We believe that he can use his influence to help bring about peace in this region.

According to the United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), over 2,000 Palestinians were killed during conflicts with Israel in 2014 alone - many of them civilians. The situation has only escalated since then. I here do not support the action of hamas but support the idea of liberating Palestine and its civilians. 

We urge President Bukele to leverage his unique position as both a world leader with Palestinian roots and as someone who holds diplomatic ties with Palestine. We ask him to intervene diplomatically on behalf of those suffering from this devastating conflict.
