I am writing this petition out of a deep sense of horror and despair. Every day, I see news reports detailing the suffering of children and innocent civilians in Gaza. With no escape route and no means for supplies to reach them, their situation grows more desperate and hopeless with each passing minute.

As winter approaches, the need for blankets and food becomes especially critical for the refugees and displaced people of Gaza. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that over 50% of Gazans are food insecure due to ongoing conflicts. Furthermore, UNICEF estimates that there are over 1 million children in need of humanitarian assistance in Palestine.

We urge President Biden to act swiftly on this matter by authorizing an airdrop operation delivering much-needed humanitarian aid into Gaza immediately. This action will not only alleviate immediate suffering but also send a powerful message about our country's commitment to human rights.
