I am a lifelong fan of SpongeBob SquarePants and an avid record collector since 2016. The joy that this iconic cartoon has brought into my life is immeasurable, as is the satisfaction I get from collecting vinyl records. However, there's something missing in my collection - the music from SpongeBob SquarePants.

Paramount Pictures holds the rights to both “SpongeBob’s Greatest hits” and “The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie - Music form the Movie and more…” These soundtracks encapsulate memorable moments from our beloved underwater world, yet they are not available on vinyl format. This leaves fans like me longing for a piece of nostalgia that we can't have.

Vinyl records have seen a resurgence in recent years. In 2020, for the first time since 1986, vinyl sales surpassed CD sales in the US (source: RIAA). There's no denying that there is a market for this classic format.

By releasing these soundtracks on vinyl, Paramount would not only meet consumer demand but also pay tribute to one of their most successful franchises. It would allow fans like myself to relive our favorite moments through music while adding valuable pieces to our collections.
