The Issue

In an increasingly digital world, having a school-provided '.edu' email is no longer just a convenience but a necessity. It's the key to accessing education-related resources, discounted software, academic collaborations, and more.

A '.edu' email account provides students with countless benefits. Not only do they serve as valuable networking tools, but they also grant students access to many resources that are otherwise out of reach. Many educational services, software providers, and academic platforms offer significant discounts or even free access when students can validate their academic status with a '.edu' email address. This includes software from companies like Adobe and Microsoft, access to academic journals, and discounts on various other learning tools and online platforms.

Furthermore, having a '.edu' email enhances students' credibility and professionalism when applying for internships, research programs, or jobs. It signals that the student is identified and affiliated with an academic institution, which can be crucial in a highly competitive academic and professional landscape.

Currently, students at our school are deprived of these fundamental resources and opportunities simply because we do not have school-provided '.edu' emails. Not only does this put us at a disadvantage compared to students from other institutions who do have access to these benefits, but it also limits our academic growth and professional development.

We urge our school administration to prioritize the creation and distribution of .edu email accounts for all students. By taking this step forward, our school will not only enhance the educational experience for its students but also demonstrate its commitment to providing equal opportunities for all.

Please sign this petition to show your support for implementing 'edu' emails for our student body and helping us unlock unlimited learning and professional opportunities. Together, we can foster an academic environment that truly supports and nurtures the potential of every student.
