As residents of Stafford, we are proud of the rich diversity that shapes our community. The people we work with, socialize with, and campaign alongside are from varying backgrounds. We believe that our town deserves better than the divisive rhetoric frequently spouted by individuals such as Katie Hopkins. The scheduled show with Hopkins as the guest on 31st October at Octagon Stafford is a grave concern for our community. 

Historically, Hopkins has been known for her detestable remarks that target migrant communities, referring to them as 'cockroaches.' She has also been critical of movements like Black Lives Matter, and has perpetuated transphobic and homophobic sentiments. In light of the recent racist riots that swept the UK and terrorised our communities, it is especially disturbing that Hopkins has been given a platform to further stir up racist hate speech.

Katie Hopkins' commentary does not qualify as 'entertainment.' It mocks human rights and discredits the struggles of marginalized communities. We urge Octagon Stafford to reconsider hosting this event and to uphold the values of respect, tolerance, and diversity that our town of Stafford embraces.

Remember, signing this petition is not just to cancel a show. It is a call to oppose hate speech, and celebrate the diversity that makes Stafford a vibrant town. Please sign and spread the word.
