As a passionate fan of Yoshi's Woolly World, I am creating this petition because it is one of my favorite games. Its well-designed levels and good difficulty, plus its beautiful art style have brought me countless hours of joy. However, this game is currently not available on the Nintendo Switch, limiting its accessibility for many players.

Yoshi's Woolly World was initially released for the Wii U in 2015 and later ported to the 3DS in 2017. Since then, there has been no news about its release on the Switch platform (source: IGN). This leaves fans like myself unable to enjoy this game on our preferred console.

In fact the Wii U was one of Nintendos worst selling consoles so many people never really got to play it. And the 3ds version released before the switch in 2017 but not many people really used a 3ds after the switch released and everyone shifted their focus to the switch

Another thing that has held this port back is Yoshi’s Crafted World the sequel to this game, This game is way easier and doesn’t have as much charm as Woolly World, It has less customization options, the ambiios aren’t as good anymore and the game is probably meant for small children. I don’t get why they won’t port it. When Pikmin 4 Released, Nintendo ported Pikmin 1-3 to the switch as well. They could have done that with woollyworld but it’s not really a continuation of the game so that’s why it didn’t happen. Many fans would probably try it out if it was available or buy it because they played it on the Wii U and 3ds when they weren’t discontinued.

The demand for such ports is high. For instance, when Mario Kart 8 was ported from Wii U to Switch in April 2017, (Game name changed to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe) it sold approximately 33.41 million units worldwide as of December 2020 (source: Statista), indicating a strong market for porting beloved games onto newer platforms. Another notable example is Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild releasing on the Wii U and the Switch which has sold 31 million units since December of 2023 (Source statisa)
