As a college student, I find myself in a predicament shared by many of my peers. We are part of our families but are away at school, making it difficult to afford individual Netflix accounts. The recent policy change by Netflix that restricts shared account access has created an unnecessary financial burden on us.

College students make up a significant portion of Netflix's user base. According to Statista, 34% of US college students use Netflix daily. This policy change is not only inconvenient but also alienates an important demographic.

We understand the need for businesses like Netflix to protect their revenue streams and intellectual property rights. However, there must be a balance between business interests and customer needs, especially when considering the current economic climate where many students are struggling financially due to rising tuition fees and living costs.
