Urge Lionel Racing to produce Official Austin Green Nascar Diecasts
The Issue
I've been following Austin Green since 2025, after originally first hearing about him after his 4th place finish at Sonoma the year prior in 2024. Over the past year, it's been genuinely exciting to witness his journey as a fan. However, I've only encountered custom diecasts crafted by fans online. Whether it’s the 1:24 custom of his #87 3-Dimensional Service Group Chevrolet Camaro when he raced part-time for Jordan Anderson Racing or the #32 Overplay Camaro he drove for the same team. Overplay even held a giveaway in October. (Which I sadly lost.) And even a 1:24 scale custom of his #82 Overplay Chevrolet SS he drove for Pinnacle Racing Group at Charlotte Motor Speedway, which he won in his second ARCA Menards Series start. Despite these exciting moments, and how amazing these customs look. It's really disappointing, that there aren't any official diecasts available. This is particularly disheartening as a Austin Green fan. As he currently drives for Peterson Racing, who honored a significant family legacy by executing a throwback to his dad, and current NASCAR official, David Green. The 1994 NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series champion at Darlington. They paid homage with a throwback to the iconic Slim Jim #44, the very car David drove to that '94 championship. This historical nod deserves an official diecast, yet none exists, or customs, even with how amazing the throwback was, as I considered it the best throwback scheme of the year in O'Reilly. This petition is obviously not me critiquing or bashing customs; it's an appeal to make official diecasts accessible. Many people, myself included, prefer official diecasts. Not just because they hold collectible value, but because customs are often pricey when you want one of a certain driver. Official diecasts would provide a more affordable option for fans eager to celebrate Austin’s career and legacy. By signing this petition, you are helping me, and many more to encourage Lionel Racing to recognize the significance of Austin Green's achievements and why an official diecast would be an important collector's item to NASCAR fans. Your support will help urge them to create official diecasts, and address the oversight made by Lionel, for not producing an official versions. Please join me, and others in this endeavor to make it known that there is a genuine demand for Austin Green diecasts. Please sign, and share the petition to urge Lionel Racing to make these cherished collectibles a official reality.
