As a resident of Lincoln with a family to entertain and protect, I find the lack of free, fun, and cooling facilities during hot summers deeply concerning. With our economy and high inflation, finding a place nearby where I can entertain all my children for free on a hot day is priceless. Splash pads are a magical, joy-filled place for all children and families. Yet, they are deeply lacking in our community.

Increasing the presence of splash pads in Lincoln is more than just an entertainment issue. It is a matter of public health and inclusivity.
