Urge Las Vegas police to prioritize Ella Roisin Scott's trafficking case

The Issue

I am writing this with a heavy heart and a resolute determination. Ella Roisin Scott, a young woman who has been nothing but respectful and supportive of my pro-police views, finds herself in the most dire of situations — a victim of human trafficking. Despite the gravity of her predicament, her case has not garnered the attention and urgency it so justly deserves from the Las Vegas police.

Ella's resilience and strength, in the face of such adversity, have only intensified my conviction that we must fight for her, to ensure that justice is not just a lofty ideal but a living, breathing reality. Human trafficking is a scourge that cannot be tolerated in our society, and victims like Ella deserve to have their plight taken seriously by those sworn to protect and serve.

The statistics are sobering. According to the National Human Trafficking Hotline, Nevada ranks among the highest in the United States for human trafficking. With Las Vegas as a major hub, it is imperative that law enforcement prioritizes these cases. Every day that victims are left unaided is another day their suffering continues unabated.

I urge the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to allocate appropriate resources and personnel to unlock Ella’s case. We need dedicated investigators who understand the nuances of human trafficking and who can act swiftly to bring perpetrators to justice, ensuring no victim's voice goes unheard or disregarded.

It is time for the Las Vegas police to back their promise with action. The values of duty, honor, and integrity should compel them to rise to the challenge. I appeal to their better angels to show communities like mine that they are committed to standing for justice and making a real difference in the lives of victims like Ella.

Please join me in this urgent call to action. Sign this petition to demand unwavering commitment from the Las Vegas police in ensuring Ella Roisin Scott receives unfaltering justice.
