By removing accountability, we pave a way for future negligence. Our children deserve to be safe and protected under those we trust to care for them.

Moreover, I call upon the medical examiner to reconsider and amend Dylan's death certificate. Changing the cause of death from SIDS to "accidental suffocation" will not bring my son back, but it will honor his memory by revealing the truth. Properly identifying the cause of death is crucial not only for justice but also for implementing necessary changes to prevent future tragedies.

Statistics indicate that approximately 3,500 infants in the United States die annually from Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID), a category that includes SIDS and accidental suffocation. However, a percentage of these cases are often misclassified, hindering efforts to address and rectify childcare safety inadequacies.
