I, like so many others, am the spouse of a dedicated Indycar worker. My husband works for Andretti Global and we've been blessed with a 3 week old baby. Unfortunately, as the first race of the season looms, he is about to leave, and we do not have an extra $1000 required for me to purchase a hard card so I can accompany him to the races. 

Our situation is not unique, as numerous families in our community make the same sacrifice. Husbands and wives who dedicate their lives to Indycar, missing out on precious, irreplaceable family moments - they miss first steps, first words, birthdays, anniversaries, all for the love of their job and the sport. Charging these families $1000 to allow the spouses of the workers to spend time with them during races seems not only harsh but also dismissive of the sacrifices we all make.

Considering this, we urge that Indycar provide each worker with a complimentary hard card for their spouse, or at the very least, offer them at a heavily discounted price. This small act would unburden these families, and serve as a symbol of appreciation for the sacrifices we make, acknowledging the importance of family even in a fast-paced, demanding sport. 

This change is not only fair and considerate, it aligns with family values and loving solidarity. Indycar, show your support to these hardworking families and that you value them as much as you value their contribution to the sport.
