The Issue

The pain of losing our Naga brothers in such a brutal and inhuman manner haunts us. We forgive, but justice must be left to the Creator, to determine what is right and just. As Nagas, our heritage traces back to time immemorial, deeply rooted in the lands we call our own, lands that are rightfully ours.

The Kukis, historically refugees on these lands, may still wander, but their involvement in violence against our freedom movement should not be supported by the Indian government. We, the Naga community, ask that the government refrain from using Kuki militants against our people. This conflict has already cost us dearly, claiming innocent lives and unsettling our communities.

Our core demand is simple and just: let us pursue our peaceful struggle for recognition and autonomy without the shadow of militant interference darkening our horizon. Official documentation and historical records illustrate our ancient ties to this land. Still, we find ourselves in a constant struggle to affirm this identity.

If peace is truly what we all seek, then the actions to secure it shouldn't perpetuate cycles of violence and retaliation. Stopping the support of Kuki militants is a crucial step towards sustainable peace and harmony.

We hold no grudge against the individuals, but the organized violence and unrest must cease to ensure a future where both Nagas and Kukis can coexist and prosper. We urge everyone who values justice, heritage, and peace to support our plea. Help us to make our call for non-violence heard.

Sign this petition to urge the Indian government to cease any support and involvement of Kuki militants against the Naga freedom movement and foster an environment where discussion and diplomacy can thrive instead of hostility.
