Urge Immediate and Comprehensive Action on Manjeera Pipeline Road

The Issue

I am a taxpayer, a resident and a regular commuter of the Manjeera Pipeline road, spanning from Chandanagar to Madinaguda. Everyday, citizens like me shell out hard-earned money in the form of taxes, and in return, we expect basic public utilities and infrastructural necessities. An integral element of these necessities is roadway conditions.

Over the past four years, the condition of Manjeera Pipeline road has deteriorated significantly, making commutes challenging and tiring for the local community. GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) and HMWSSB (Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board) have turned a blind eye to this plight, despite numerous complaints from residents.

This road isn't just a navigational path for us, it is a symbol of our lives, our progress, our mobility. The current state of this road detracts from our quality of life and signals a disregard for our rights as taxpayers.

We, the affected residents and regular commuters, unite to demand the attention of the respective civic bodies – GHMC and HMWSSB. We insist on immediate, urgent, and visionary action regarding the deplorable condition of the Manjeera Pipeline road.

We deserve better. We demand better. Exercise your right and voice your concern too. Sign this petition and enable the transformation of Manjeera Pipeline road. Your signature can drive needed change. Join us in making Chandanagar to Madinaguda, a better place for all its residents. Please sign and share this petition!

Despite our relentless efforts of lodging complaints and escalating the issue, there has been no meaningful improvement in the condition of the Manjeera Pipeline road, Chandanagar. The recent rains have only worsened the situation, leaving more sections of the road unusable with every passing day. We had initially planned to submit a signed petition to @GHMCOnline and @HMWSSB on Tuesday, August 27th, but when GHMC officials started patchwork on the road, we chose to wait and observe the outcome of their actions.

Unfortunately, the patchwork appears to be nothing more than a superficial effort, with no real empathy or concern for the daily struggles of the residents who depend on this road. We anticipate that GHMC and HMWSSB will now use the rains as an excuse to cover up the poor condition of the road. As such, we have decided to formally submit our petition to GHMC this Tuesday, September 3rd.

We urge you to respond immediately to this, providing a clear explanation and presenting a proper action plan to resolve this issue. If we do not receive a satisfactory response, we will not wait any longer for GHMC to act. The suffering of commuters is growing by the hour, and we cannot allow this situation to continue.

To support the residents and ease their struggles, we are planning to take matters into our own hands and begin repairing the road wherever possible. We held discussion with Mechant association and all residents nearby who are willing to participate to join us in this effort.

This is our community, and we will do whatever it takes to ensure that our roads are safe and usable for all.
