The Toronto Tamagotchi Club is an independent fan club that formed in
December 2022 as a response to the "cultural crisis of loneliness" in a world newly post-quarantine. We are an all-ages community of Tamagotchi-lovers building analog connection through virtual pets. We have been profiled widely in news media for being delightful, and have inspired over 30 other chapters internationally. Our membership is in the hundreds.

Since the beginning, our community has shown itself to be about more than just virtual pets. It is about inspiring lasting friendships, cultivating wonder, and forming connections across differences. The Toronto Tamagotchi Club has become a welcome home for artists, weirdos, and shy guys from Toronto and beyond. It has been a space to better our mental health in a judgement-free environment. Tamagotchi clubs have formed all over the world because they have real impacts on people's lives, and we celebrate this as a success!

Since February 2024, the Toronto Tamagotchi Club has been preparing to host our world record attempt for the Largest Tamagotchi Wedding. For 8 months, we have been tirelessly attempting to apply for an official Guinness World Records attempt, but have received no response from Guinness.

This petition is a formal request for Guinness World Records to respond to our emails and the application request by twoey.gray@gmail.com.
