The issue

For 22 years, I served my country with pride, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to uphold its values and the security interests of all Australians. The flag I vowed to protect stands as a symbol of our collective resistance against terrorism. However, recent political developments have left me – and many others who have served or continue to serve – feeling betrayed.

The decision of the current government to endorse a two-state solution in Gaza, a proposal that has been warmly received by a known terrorist group, conflicts with the core security beliefs held by the majority of Australians. This support not only undermines our national stance against terrorism but also disrespects the sacrifices made by soldiers who have laid down their lives for our nation.

It is our belief that the government should align its policies with the fundamental interests of the people it represents, prioritising national security above all else.

The Governor General of Australia, Sam Mostyn, holds the statutory power to intervene in situations where the actions of the government appear to counteract the will and security interests of its citizens. We are calling on the Governor General to exercise this authority and dismiss the current government to safeguard our country's future and uphold the democratic principles of Australia.

The move to support a two-state solution has sparked discontent across the nation, indicating a significant disconnect between the government's actions and the public's expectations. In a democratic society, the government is expected to reflect the values and interests of its citizens. This recent decision signals a grave departure from such expectations.

We urge Governor General Sam Mostyn to take decisive action. The dismissal of the current government would serve as a powerful reminder that the representation and protection of the Australian people should always prevail.

We encourage all Australians who share these concerns to rally together and voice our collective disappointment and demand for change. Please sign this petition to urge the Governor General to act in the best interest of our nation, honouring the sacrifices made by those who serve to protect it.
