As an avid user of YouTube's live stream feature, I've experienced firsthand the frustration of missing out on numerous comments due to the platform defaulting to 'Top Chat'. This is a common issue that many users face, causing us to miss out on real-time interactions and discussions.

YouTube's 'Top Chat' filters out potential spam and less relevant messages, but it also inadvertently silences many voices in the process. In contrast, 'Live Chat' or 'All Chat' displays all comments as they come in, fostering a more inclusive environment for interaction.

According to Statista (2020), over 70% of YouTube watch time comes from mobile devices. This means that a significant number of users are potentially affected by this issue every day. By removing the top chat default option during live streams on phones and replacing it with either Live or All chat options, we can ensure that no comment goes unnoticed.
