Urge Franklin & Marshall College to Increase Upper-Level Computer Science Classes

Urge Franklin & Marshall College to Increase Upper-Level Computer Science Classes
The Issue
As a student at Franklin & Marshall College, I am deeply concerned about the current situation regarding upper-level Computer Science classes. Currently, there are only four such classes available, all of which are fully booked with a total of over 50 spots taken on the waitlist. This high demand clearly indicates that our college needs to provide more sections in this field.
The lack of available slots is jeopardizing the timely graduation of many upperclassmen who need these courses to complete their degree requirements. The situation is causing undue stress and uncertainty among us students who have worked hard towards our academic goals.
With an increasing interest in computer science as a major and its importance in today's digital world, it is crucial for colleges like ours to adapt and meet student demands. By not doing so, we risk not only delaying graduation for many but also potentially discouraging future students from pursuing this vital field of study.
Therefore, we urge Franklin & Marshall College to recognize this issue and take immediate action by opening more sections for upper-level computer science classes. Let's ensure that every student has an equal opportunity to learn and succeed in their chosen path.
Please sign this petition if you believe in equal access to education and want Franklin & Marshall College to address this pressing issue promptly.
