To the President and Trustees of ISIA Edmonton

 

We, the undersigned members of the ISIA Edmonton community, submit this petition to formally request the immediate resignation of the current Programme Organiser, Mr. Ali Zein. His tenure has resulted in repeated mismanagement, disunity, and a lack of inclusivity in community programming.

 

Our concerns include:

 

1. Programmes consistently starting late under his management.

 

2. Promotion of a Khoja-first agenda, sidelining members of other communities.

 

3. Ending activities such as games night, which were valuable for community engagement.

 

4. Granting opportunities only to close associates, while excluding others.

 

5. Reinstating and empowering a known troublemaker, Mr. Fareed Dhalla, and creating the perception that this individual is running programmes in his absence.

 

6. Speaking negatively about the resident alim, who has the respect and love of the community.

 

7. Extending programmes unnecessarily, affecting attendance and engagement.

 

8. Responding aggressively to constructive feedback and criticism.

 

9. Leaving programmes early despite their late start, showing lack of commitment.

 

10. Speaking against fellow EC members and questioning their faith.

 

11. Demonstrating a regressive mindset that seeks to take our community backwards by 10 years instead of moving forward.

 

 

 

This conduct has damaged trust, disrupted unity, and lowered the quality of our community life. For the well-being, harmony, and future of ISIA Edmonton, we respectfully but firmly demand the immediate resignation of Mr. Ali Zein from his position as Programme Organiser, and the appointment of someone who will serve all members with fairness, inclusivity, and respect.
