Urge Donald Trump to Stop Funding In Vitro Fertilization

The Issue

My discovery of the harsh reality behind the process of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) has left me horrified and compelled me to bring this issue to light. IVF, while a glimmer of hope for parents struggling with infertility, comes with a darker side that's troubling to many, including myself, who value life at every stage.

Many are not aware of the grim truth that thousands of embryos, created with the aim of achieving successful pregnancies, are discarded or indefinitely frozen due to being deemed "undesirable." These results are less a pro-life triumph and more akin to systematic genocide.

This lack of awareness isn't confined to the public sphere. It extends to our pro-life community and older generation, who, despite their commitment to the sanctity of life, are mostly uninformed about the real cost of IVF.

It is estimated that in the United States alone, there are currently over one million embryos stored in cryogenic freezers. Their fate remains uncertain--an ethically challenging reality we cannot afford to overlook (Time Magazine, 2014).

We must urge Donald Trump not to fund IVF because of its morally conflicting nature. Let's bring awareness to the troubling aspects of IVF, confront this issue frontally, and foster a more informed, respectful conversation about life, its creation, and preservation in hopes that IVF funding can in turn be directed towards foster care and adoption for families that wish to grow and raise children in a loving environment.
