As a huge lover of root beer, along with many other Brits, our lack of access to good quality root beer in the UK is deeply felt.

 One of our favourite drinks is more of a luxury than it should be. Few retailers offer root beer here. When they do, it’s often a budget brand that falls short of real, fizzy, root beer.

Or if you’re lucky, you may find a can or two of Canadian A&W root beer being sold by extremely dodgy corner shops, because these are also imported they cost upwards of £5-£6 per can. Which is absolutely ridiculous. 

Beyond that, it's virtually impossible to find genuine Barq’s brand Root Beer, anywhere in our stores.

Importing this beverage from America is the only existing option, but it's extremely expensive, costing up to £50-£80 factoring in shipping fees. This makes what should be a simple thing, very costly. 

This lack of accessibility means that many in the UK have not had the pleasure of experiencing this drink. We believe Root Beer deserves to have a place in the UK's beverage market, and the Coca Cola company has the power to facilitate this long-overdue change, and bring the best tasting root beer brand to the UK.

We are therefore urging the Coca Cola company to please make the beloved Barq's Root Beer readily available in the UK.

By doing so, they would not only make all of the existing root beer lovers happy by bringing their favourite drink to our stores, but also provide an opportunity for those who have yet to discover this delightful drink. 

It's time for real, tasty root beer to be enjoyed in the UK without the stress and cost of importing.
