As individuals deeply concerned about our nation, we are deeply disturbed by the unsettling developments we've witnessed: a systematic dismantling of the US government structure and the erosion of the sanctity of the judiciary. Central to these disconcerting changes is the decision made in the Trump v. United States case, authored by Chief Justice Roberts. This verdict granted immunity to Trump for actions deemed "official acts," thus giving rise to extra-constitutional authority. 

The fundamental principle of the US judiciary system is that nobody is above the law, not even the President. This landmark judgment undermines this principle dangerously. In a report by Congressional Research Service, "official acts" have been historically treated as the non-criminal exercise of an official's duties, and granting criminal immunity for such acts contradict longstanding legal precedent (Congressional Research Service, 2017).

We, therefore, implore Chief Justice John Roberts to rescind this misguided decision. It's time to reinstate the reverence of the Judiciary and rectify the erosion caused by this decision.
