Like countless other movie lovers, I find a unique kind of comfort and entertainment in watching a variety of films – from classic ABC network TV movies and mini-series to recent, state-of-the-art theatrical and streaming movies. It is with great excitement and anticipation that we propose a new initiative for CBS to launch a movie franchise in Fall 2024. This will not just be a regular offering, but a special, much-anticipated programming block dedicated solely to movie buffs.

This proposed "CBS Special Movie Presentation" will air during prime-time (at 8pm etc.), meant to fill in the schedule gaps when regular shows are on hiatus. The lineup promises to be rich and diverse, featuring old and new content alike including new Hallmark Hall of Fame movies and the latest cable and network TV films and mini-series.

It's been a while since the network last aired a movie in 2022 and it's impossible for the network to come back to it.

It's very important for viewers to watch movies and remember the good times when people cry, laugh and smile all at once.

I am all-around movie buff who watch movies and knows the names of the actors etc in the movie business.

We remember in 2020 when the network's movie franchise on Sunday nights returned to greater heights during the pandemic.

The 2020 Nielsen Report shows that movies on Mainstream Television Networks reach a wider audience compared to cable or streaming platforms (Nielsen, 2020). CBS, with its vast network, has a golden opportunity to tap into this large pool of movie-loving viewers and provide them with a consolidated platform to enjoy a diverse range of films.

This is more than just a petition. It's an appeal to rekindle our shared love for movies, bring together communities on a certain night, and help us all escape into the world of cinema, even if just for a couple of hours a week.
