The Issue
Help Caitlin Clark and Kevin Hart create a $10 M+ Children's Charities Telethon
$10 M+. Why not? The need is so great and the precedents so obvious. Now, as the Beatles sang, "All you need is love."
With 2 days prep and 90 minutes on air, the Dallas Cowboys Telethon raised $3 million. In 2 hours, comedian Kevin Hart & friends raised $10 M. For 9/11 victims, Hollywood stars, in 2 hours raised $150 M. $10 M is merely a start !
Especially because Caitlin Clark, the most compassionate and exciting star in all of sports, has already partnered with Hart to use his company Heartbeat to help sports teams market themselves. Nothing makes fans love their teams more than watching them help little children. The troubled NBA, Hart's favorite league, needs all the "cause marketing" it can get. to win back millions of disenchanted fans. Why not telethons, charity games, memorabilia sales, etc.
The "Caitlin Clark Effect" produced many millions for sports teams and her billion-dollar sponsors, who always donate generously to her causes. She has 2 million Instagram followers. who if she sweetly asks, will gladly create sports charity events of their own, as my friends and I often do. Clark has made tons of friends in all sports (and Taylor Swift !), who will join with Hart's friends, live or on air, in a multitude of sports charity events. Co-ed kickball, pickle ball, the sky's the limit ! So many will want to help, we'll need more than 2 hours !
With their huge hearts and brilliant imaginations, Kevin Hart and Caitlin Clark will set a profound moral example for millions, and put sports where His Holiness Pope Francis says it should be "At the Service of Humanity." Devoted Catholics like Caitlin and John Calipari (who has created $1 M telethons) would surely love to have other Catholic athletes and colleges join them.
A huge sports children's charities Telethon will easily become a reality if enough people want to see it and sign this petition to Caitlin, Kevin. Herb Simon. and Adam Silver. Indeed, as Musk and Trump cut desperately needed children's services, as Francis has indicated, it is time for all of sports, through cash donations or "cause marketing, " to place itself "at the service of humanity.
