Like many of you, I've lived in Brookhaven for 8 years, dealing with the sole internet provider: Optimum. With growing frustrations over unsatisfactory service and recurring price hikes, the community deserves better. It's time to break the monopoly Optimum holds over Brookhaven. We deserve a choice - we deserve better service. According to a study by BroadbandNow, markets that have multiple broadband providers have statistically better service and lower prices (BroadbandNow, 2020). Brookhaven should be one of these markets. Let's ask the Brookhaven township to permit Verizon and T-Mobile to provide internet services in our area. By doing so, we can foster competition, lower prices, and elevate the quality of our internet services. Make your voice heard – let’s bring fairness to our internet services.
