For several weeks, a viral social media campaign has been conducted by Adina Miles Sash, also known as FlatbushGirl, urging Orthodox Jewish women and girls to expose themselves as a means of drawing attention to the issue of agunot.

According to Adina Miles Sash, her campaign has received over 24 million views, and she has already reposted hundreds of highly inappropriate content, allegedly sent to her by Jewish women. For part of Friday May 8th 2026, Instagram suspended Miles Sash's account before reinstating. However unfortunately, Miles Sash has continued. 

The campaign has been detrimental on the men, women and children of our community, and has caused an enormous desecration of God's name. 

The Beth Din of America Siruv

Adina Miles Sash justifies her campaign by pointing to a "siruv" issued by Beth Din of America, and encouraging her followers to participate in her campaign to satisfy the siruv. For this reason, Beth Din of America must at this time take action to issue a siruv to the community to take a strong stance against the actions of Adina Miles Sash. 

Until the Beth Din of America denounces the use of their siruvs for this exploitative desecration of God's name and abuse of our vulnerable Jewish women, we will not use or recognize any document issued by Beth Din of America
