The issue has become so pressing that several countries are taking proactive measures to protect individuals' rights against such digital intrusions. Denmark has recently set a high standard in this effort by amending its copyright laws to enshrine the principle that every person has an inherent right to their own body, facial features, and voice. These types of legislations are crucial in safeguarding the dignity and privacy of individuals against the misuse of AI technologies.

Australia must follow Denmark's lead. By reforming its copyright laws, Australia can ensure that its citizens are shielded from the potential abuses of deepfake technology.
