Urge ANC Government and Panyaza Lesufi to Make GYBs Permanent Positions

The Issue

I am a resident of Gauteng, South Africa, living the reality of contract jobs with late payments. This situation is not sustainable for me or for many others in our community. We need growth; we need recognition. Our plea is simple - make the Gauteng Youth Brigades (GYBs) permanent positions.

The GYBs were established as part of the Tshepo 1 Million initiative by the Gauteng Provincial Government to provide work readiness training and job placement services to unemployed youth in Gauteng. However, these positions are currently temporary and often come with delayed payments that put financial strain on us.

Making these positions permanent will not only ensure timely payment but also provide a sense of security and growth opportunity for thousands like me who are striving to make ends meet while contributing positively to our society.

We call upon the African National Congress (ANC) government and Mr. Panyaza Lesufi, The premier of Gauteng, who has been instrumental in youth empowerment initiatives, to take this matter seriously.

Let's transform these temporary jobs into permanent ones - it's time for change! Please sign this petition if you believe in promoting job security and economic stability within our community.
