Urge Allentown to Give Medical Benefits to Same-Sex Partners of LGBT Municipal Employees

Brooklyn, NY, United States
Created December 27, 2010

The Issue

Allentown, Pennsylvania is set to consider a measure that would allow same-sex partners of LGBT municipal employees to receive medical benefits. If it approves the measure, Allentown would become the first city in Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley to offer partner benefits, and would follow in the footsteps of nearby Philadelphia which also offers benefits.

The City Council President, Michael D'Amore, is behind the bill, and says that the measure "is about fairness and equality." Send a message to Allentown's City Council and Mayor Ed Pawlowski that you agree, and would like to see Allentown take this bold step for LGBT equality.
