I work both as a bank staff and in a permanent role within our healthcare system. But I keenly recognize the immense contributions that purely bank staff bring to the table. Many wards cannot function effectively without the vital work of bank staff. Unfortunately, despite their indispensable role, they are not receiving the same financial recognition as their permanent counterparts. While permanent staff have been granted back pay, bank workers, who have been tirelessly performing the same duties, remain overlooked.

This disparity is not just unfair but is a detriment to the morale and well-being of those who dedicate themselves to their roles every day. Bank staff deserve to be uplifted to band 3, with commensurate back pay, to acknowledge their invaluable service. A balanced approach ensures that everyone's efforts are equally valued.

The sheer dedication of bank workers deserves fair compensation. By ensuring their pay matches the responsibilities they hold, we can promote a more equitable workplace and enhance overall staff contentment and efficiency.

Therefore, we call upon the relevant departments within the healthcare system to recognize the significant contributions of bank staff by uplifting them to band 3 and implementing back pay similar to that of substantive staff. It's time for fair treatment and equal opportunity for all.
